Blending Family Process Group (Adolescents)
Blended Families for Adolescents is a 6-week process group to help 9th-12th grade students deal with the challenges of blended families.
Blending God’s Way
Blending God’s Way provides further structure and teaching for blended families and is ideal for those who have completed the Smart Step Family support group. This group provides a support structure for blended families, and focuses on family system dynamics, marriage issues, and child training.
This support group is structured around John Townsend and Henry Cloud’s bestselling book Boundaries. The classes offer guidelines on how to recognize and establish healthy boundaries, while providing assistance on how to deal with such issues as disappointing others, saying no, and overcoming fear and guilt.
Boundaries with Adult Children
It’s important for adults to learn to define their relationship with adult children. This prayer support group will help you to set boundaries with your adult children, learn how to support them without enabling them, equip you to validate their feelings rather than problem solve, and accept differences.
The cancer support group is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and professional program of emotional support and education designed to enhance the lives of those who have been impacted by cancer.
The Caregiver Support Group is a group for families, partners and other caregivers of adults with disorders such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injury and other chronic debilitating health conditions. The group offers a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges and rewards of providing care for a loved one.
Depression and Anxiety Process Group (Adolescents)
Depression/Anxiety for Adolescents is a 6-week process group to help 9th-12th grade students deal with depress and anxiety.
Depression and Anxiety
Living with a chronic illness like depression, bi-polar, or anxiety can feel overwhelming. Although you cannot control the fact that you may have a clinical mental illness, you can seek a support system for yourself.
Divorce Process Group (Adolescents)
DivorceCare for Adolescents is a 6-week process group to help 9th-12th grade students deal with divorce.
DivorceCare is a 13-week class featuring videotaped seminar sessions with nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar topics include depression, loneliness, financial survival, anger, forgiveness, reconciliation, spiritual growth and more.
DivorceCare for Kids is designed to help children ages 5-12 cope with the losses they are feeling. This ministry parallels the adult DivorceCare group. The same subjects are discussed but on a child’s level.
While men who struggle with sex addiction, pornography, and past infidelity face many serious challenges in their effort to find healing, their spouses and partners also struggle. Enduring love provides a support system for those spouses who are dealing with the consequences of betrayal and are seeking recovery. Men’s Accountability Group
A men’s support group focused on sobriety using a 12-step process.
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.
Her Choice to Heal
This 9-week class led by trained peer-facilitators is for those struggling with the pain of abortion utilizing the “Her Choice to Heal” book and study guide by Sydna Masse of Ramah International, Inc. Please call If Not For Grace Ministries at 816.847.2911 if you’re interested in registering.
Living Free is a Christ-centered, 12-step program for those dealing with life-controlling issues. If you or a loved one struggles with substance abuse, depression, anger, or another life-controlling issue, Celebrate Recovery will benefit you.
In this support group you will learn new skills for deepening intimacy, managing conflicts, and enhancing your sense of shared meaning as a married couple. The curriculum is based on many of the principles found in the work of Dr. John Gottman.
Parenting Children with Special Needs Support Group
Loving and parenting a child with special needs comes with a variety of challenges. This ministry provides parents an opportunity to receive support, encouragement, and hope through the Word of God and the sharing of experiences in raising children who have special needs. This group will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Seven Steps of Freedom
Many women long for transformative healing – the kind of healing that mends the wounds of the past, emotional disturbances, difficult issues of life, lies, sin and strongholds. Neil Anderson’s Seven Steps to Freedom serves as an effective on-ramp onto that highway to healing.
Understanding Your Child
This educational support group is structured around Daniel J. Siegel’s books, No-Drama Discipline and The Whole-Brain Child. Participants will learn guidelines and be equipped with practical tools, to assist them in training up children, 4 – 12 years old, utilizing biblical principles, scientific research, and behavioral models focused on healthy brain development. This class will be offered Fall 2017.
